Alphabet photography has fascinated me for years. There are many different variations out there, with the letters being composed of all sorts of things. But what I love about it is the challenge. The challenge to look at something, be it architecture or nature, that has a common perception to most and find in it something unassuming and surprising – a letter.
This discovery process is where my passion lies – photographing those individual letters. A single letter by itself may seem ordinary, but place it in a piece of art with other carefully-selected letters to create a word, and you have something extraordinary.
