In honor of Lesley and Rich’s wedding this past weekend, here is a peak at their engagement shoot! I could not be more excited for these two. I worked really closely with Lesley my last two years in the music business before becoming a mommy, and it was so exciting to have the honor of photographing these two and finally seeing them together after hearing so much. I worked with Rich too, when I first started, but did not have the pleasure of knowing him as well.

So to see them together and so smitten was just heart melting. To see a different side of Lesley and how obvious it was she loved Rich, and to see Rich become just a smidge embarrassed in front of the camera as he became aware of and felt every single one of Lesley’s loving gazes without even having to see them… I almost felt like I should not be there and was intruding on one moment after the next. I mean, this is stuff love stories are made of, folks.

What an honor it was to be trusted with these moments and to be able to give them back to them, frozen in time. Best wishes to you two as you begin your journey together as husband and wife! Woohoo!!

Oh, and I should give a warning. Lesley has some fierce brown eyes!

I am a bit late getting these up. Someone has begun teething in our house. Thankfully little man is having a good day and Grammy is in town. So Mommy is catching up on some photo editing and blogging. Before I share some sweet engagement photos, precious family photos and adorable dance photos, I had to sneak these in before it becomes too late. Hope you enjoy them half as much as I do!

This just may be the cutest little man I have ever photographed. He came home from the hospital at a mere 4 pounds 3 ounces and at his three-month photos he had doubled in size, weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces! Here are both his newborn and three-month photos so you can see how much he has grown! The little Mickey outfit was bought for his newborn photos, but when he came a month early, it was just too big. But I think it worked out great just the way it did, because he has some of the most entertaining expressions in that outfit.

So I hope you enjoy these half as much as I do. But then again, I may be just a bit bias… after all, he does belong to me! I will try hard to not feature too many photos of him on here over time… unless they are just too cute not to!

Jeff Goins is a dreamer and a hard-worker. The way he so diligently pursues his dream of writing and speaking in his free time inspires me to work harder at this dream of mine. Abbott Wedding: The First Look | Nashville Portrait Photography

Who’s ready for some more photos?! Roger and Mary were married on a beautiful, Spring day. They held the ceremony at Mary’s home church in Jerseyville, Illinois, so we were close enough to head on over to the gorgeous Lewis and Clark College campus to take their photos. The campus had the right amount of charm and drama any photographer could ask for.

Roger and Mary chose to do a First Look, which we are big fans of. It was such an honor to sit back in the shadows and capture the two of them having those few intimate, special moments together. Jeff was the one that had the camera on Roger, so it wasn’t until we were going through photos after the wedding that I saw Roger’s first glance at Mary captured on camera. Talk about making your heart melt! Every girl wants to make a guy’s jaw drop, especially on her wedding day, and I am so thrilled that Jeff caught that on camera. Girlfriend, you are just as gorgeous as Roger’s expression shows, both inside and out! And I just wish that when people look at the photos of you laughing, that they could hear it, too. You are such the epitome of joy!
